Sebahattin Hafizogl, a Turkish businessman from Vicem with an affinity for the luxury and performance of down-east style yachts, envisioned building boats that combined old-world woodworking with modern technology. His dream came true in 1991 when Vicem Yachts was founded in Turkey and started building yachts using the innovative, cold-molded wood and epoxy technique. Vicem Yachts launched the first of four lines, blending classic styling with cold-molded wood and epoxy technologies to produce lighter, stronger, quieter cruisers.
Nearly 25 years later, the yard is highly recognized for its impeccable craftsmanship and top-quality motor yachts. Currently, the yard builder offers three different models: its Classic, Flybridge, Cruiser and Bahama Bay lines. As one of Turkey’s largest yacht builders, Vicem has launched over 150 vessels. The latest Vicem model premiered in March 2021.
