About the Model/About ALWAYS AUGUST

ABOUT THE MODEL

Introduced in 2003, the revised "new and improved" Sea Ray 340 Sundancer replaced the previous 340 Sundancer (1999–2002)—a popular model in the Sea Ray fleet for several years. Wider in the beam than her predecessor, with a newly designed cockpit and a deep-V hull, the sleek styling of the 340 Sundancer conceals an interior that seems remarkably spacious for a 34-foot boat. The cabin is well lit with seven ports and overhead hatches, and the upscale decor is accented with rich cherry cabinets and earth tone fabrics and upholstery. The layout is typical of most Sundancer interiors with a pedestal berth forward and convertible settees in the salon and midcabin area. Corian counters and quality hardware are found in the galley, and privacy curtains separate the sleeping areas from the main cabin. Semicircular lounge seating is aft in the cockpit, and an electric hatch lifts to reveal a rather compact engine compartment. The helm is notable for its excellent design and good visibility. A premium express finished to very high standards, Twin 8.1 zon MerCruiser Horizon 370hp V-drive inboards cruise the Sea Ray 340 Sundancer at 24–25 knots and reach a top speed in the low 30s.

ABOUT ALWAYS AUGUST

This boat was purchased by her current (2nd) owners in 2006 with approximately 195 hours on her at the time.  They have used her for family cruising and have cruised extensively in the Bahamas and south Florida.  They have spared no expense in keeping this boat in top condition (See descriptions section) and keeping her in top condition and "ready to go" has been a priority.  The boat is exceptionally clean inside and out and the owners have crossed to the Bahamas 8-9 times during the past 14 years.  This is the 340 SUNDANCER  to SEE and BUY ! !

Walkthrough and Detailed Equipment List

Interior

Enter the cabin through a curved sliding pocket entry door and down several steps, behind the steps is a spacious U-shaped seating lounge which will convert to a large bed.  To port is the head with vanity, vaccu-flush head and shower. Forward of the head is the galley with deepsink, 112/12V refrigerator, 2 burner recessed under counter stove-top and microwave oven, built in coffee maker.  across to starboard is a crescent shape dinette and that area converts to a sleeper as well. Forward in the bow is a queen sized berth (mattress with memory foam top) with lockers, hanging lockers and drawer storage.  Interior is done in cherry with beige corian countertops, tan carpeting and there is a carpet runner over the main salon carpet area. The interior and all accessories are in excellent condition and the interior space appears larger than a 34 Express.  One of the best layouts in the history of the Searay Sundancer Series

Cockpit

Enter the boat from the integrated swim platform, starting with the platform with built in swim ladder, there is a "trunk" storage compartment built into the transom which houses the shorepower connection, pressure water connection etc.and provides good stowage for cleaners, lines etc.  Through the transom door aft to starboard is wrap around seating with a removable table in the center. To port is a wetbar with sink and icemaker and storage under. Up 1 step to the helm area, to starboard is the helm with double bolstered helm/companion seat with storage under. Across to port is a double bench.(Upholstery in "As New" Condition)

There is an electric power vent in the center of the windshield for fresh air, visibility is great, A full enclosure covers the helm and the cockpit enclosure is a full camper enclosure. Enclosure is black sunbrella and in excellent condition.  There is a walkthrough windshield
