French Rivera Charters
With Nice and its busy airport as a hub, a charter guest can quickly and easily embark on a cruising itinerary.
French Riviera/ Cote d’Azur
The French Riviera, or Cote d’Azur, is the hub of yachting in the Western Med. With Nice and its busy airport as a hub, a charter guest can quickly and easily embark on a cruising itinerary. Although the pebble beaches may not be the ideal location for sunbathing, but the winding streets of the historic district offer a meandering escape. As the coast rolls by from the deck of a charter yacht, tiny villages and beaches offer unexpected detours and quite escapes. One of the largest stopping points west along the coast is the yachtie hub of Antibes while Cap Ferrat offers a luxurious escape with its cliff-side hotels and mansions. A popular charter yacht destination along the coast is Cannes, known for its annual film festival and the location of the classic film To Catch a Thief at the regal Carlton Hotel. The main road of the town snakes along past the plush sand beaches. Destinations Antibes/Cannes/Hyeres/Monaco/Nice/Toulon/St. Tropez
French Riviera – Monaco
Port Hercule in Monaco, a short helicopter ride east of the Nice International Airport, also makes a perfect gateway to a French Riviera yacht charter, especially when timed with one of the major events the principality hosts, from the Monaco Grand Prix in May that kicks off the Mediterranean season and the Monaco Yacht Show in late September before the jet set crowd heads off to the Caribbean. French Riviera – St. Tropez
St. Tropez is the crown jewel of the French Riviera. Home of the annual Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez and the popular beach restaurant Club55, St. Tropez has attracted the well-heeled since before Bridget Bardot climbed aboard a Riva runabout. St. Tropez
