For the last 30 years, John Vance has focused on building high quality tournament boats, and acquired Jim Smith Tournament Boats in 1989. Today, he and his crew continue to build high-performance sportfish boats in Stuart, Florida, one vessel at time. The company employs cold-molded wood construction that creates a lightweight, yet strong hull for long-range use.
