Company History

Founded in 1957 by Jack Jensen, Cal Yachts was a builder of fiberglass performance sailboats between the ‘60s and the ‘80s and was originally named the Jensen Marine Corporation. Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, the company was among the early adopters of fiberglass boat building. Close to 18,000 boats were built by the company, and although the brand has been out of production since 1989, many Cal sailboats are still gracing our waters today.
