This year saw a number of high-profile superyachts hit the brokerage market. The most expensive mega yachts sold in 2023 include those from some of the largest shipyards, totaling a cumulative sold amount of over $1.5 billion USD.

Without further ado, the most expensive yachts sold in 2023 includes: 

AHPO

AHPO - 377' 8" 2021 LURSSEN Superyacht

Built by Lürssen in 2021, AHPO measures 377’ 8” (115.1m) and was on the market with Moran Yacht & Ship. Designed by Nuvolari-Lenard, AHPO was renamed LADY JORGIA following the sale and has eight cabins for 16 guests with 36 crew members on board. 

MADSUMMER

Another classic Lürssen build, MADSUMMER is a 312’ 6” (95.25m) superyacht with exterior designs by Eidsgaard Design and interiors by Laura Sessa. Built in 2019, she has 10 cabins for 12 guests and was sold by Moran Yacht & Ship. MADSUMMER is now available on the charter market with a starting rate of €1,600,000.

Completed by Amels in 2017 with a refit in 2021, 292’ (89m) HERE COMES THE SUN was sold by Fraser Yachts and Burgess. Built to LY3, she can fit up to 20 guests in 10 cabins and has an impressive range of 7,100 nautical miles. HERE COMES THE SUN features naval architecture by Azure Yacht Design, exterior designs by Tim Heywood and interiors by Winch Design

Sold by Burgess, CLOUD 9 was built in 2015 by Oceanco with a refit earlier this year including a repaint of the hull and superstructure. At 290’ 5” (88.5m) she features an exterior design by Espen Oeino with interiors by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design in collaboration with David Kleinberg Design Associates. CLOUD 9 has seven cabins for 14 guests, and ample accommodation for her 26 crew members

KISMET

Built by Lürssen in 2014, KISMET was sold by Cecil Wright & Partners with Christie Yachts introducing the buyer. Measuring 312’ 4” (95.2m), KISMET was sold by a serial owner ahead of delivery of their new yacht. A large jacuzzi and pool can be found onboard, in addition to a helipad, eight staterooms including a “sea cabin” located on the lower deck amidships for those that are prone to seasickness.

The 2020, 246’ 1” (75m) Feadship built ARROW was listed for sale with Fraser Yachts and sold in only 10 weeks with Kitson Yachts bringing the buyer. H2 Yacht Design was responsible for both the interior and exterior designs, with naval architecture by Feadship de Voogt. Impressive features include a glass elevator, large cinema, fully equipped gym and jacuzzi.  

SOARING

Featuring a striking orange stripe on the hull, SOARING was named after the soaring of an eagle with the orange stripe to match. SOARING can fit 12 guests in six staterooms, and features a jacuzzi, professional gym, steam room and spacious swim platform.

Barely a year old, LUSINE was built in 2022 by Heesen Yachts and listed for sale by KAYZ Marine and Burgess. With exteriors by Omega Architects and interiors by Sinot Design & Architecture, the 198′ 10″ (60.6m) can accommodate 16 guests in eight cabins, comes equipped with a helipad and large tender garage for all of your water toys and tender.

Built by Amels in 2006, LADY E measures 244’6″ (74.5m) and was listed for sale with Fraser Yachts and Burgess. Following a substantial refit at Pendennis in 2020, LADY E was extended by 19 ft (6m) and treated to a full paint job. A full beam master’s cabin is included, in addition to five further staterooms, a pool on the foredeck, and a transatlantic range of nearly 7,000 miles.
