One of Italy’s premiere industry events, the Genoa International Boat Show (Il Salone Nautico 2022) will take place from 22 – 27 September, 2022.

Road to 2023 Theme

The theme of this year’s boat show is ‘Road to 2023’, which encapsulates the event’s continual evolution and development of its facilities. From next year, visitors can expect to enjoy an impressive new event space as part of the redevelopment project of the Waterfront of Levante di Genova. At present, there are over 200,000 square meters of display space for in-water boats and there is a predicted footfall of 185,000 visitors this year. 

Yachts and Boats Made in Italy

The Genoa International Boat Show celebrates the excellence of the Made in Italy sector, which focuses on the quality and ability of Italian shipyards and manufacturers. The event is divided into five distinct areas:

  1. The Tech Trade show for boating components and accessories,
  2. The Sailing Show,
  3. The Boating Discovery area,
  4. The Yacht and Superyacht Salon and the
  5. ‘Living the Sea’ salon.  

Highlighting European Made Yacht Launches and Debuts

The Genoa Boat Show will feature an incredible number of launches and debuts from shipyards across Europe: There will be several European manufacturers unveiling new models, including The Patrone 100 from Cantiere Patrone Moreno, the 50 Coupé flagship yacht by De Antonio Yachts, the new Van Dutch 56 from Van Dutch, the Frasche 1212 Ghost from Austrian shipyard Frauscher,  

Beneteau will unveil its new long-range cruiser the Swift Trawler 48, Pardo Yacht is set to relaunch with the galley-up version of the Pardo GT52, and Sasga Yachts will be presenting its Menorquin 34 HT. Italian icon Azimut Yachts will unveil the new Grande 26M and Prestige Yachts will debut the Prestige M48. Cantieri Capelli broadens its Stradivari collection with the Tempest 1000 WA and Cantiere del Pardo will unveil the Grand Soleil 72.

Hosting the Annual Design Innovation Award

The Genoa Boat Show also hosts the annual Design Innovation Award. Since its inception in 2020, the award aims to promote, celebrate and encourage exhibitors who have distinguished themselves in the fields of research, innovation, formal and technical quality and sustainability. The prestigious award highlights the manufacturers who are pushing the industry forward with various technologies and offers international visibility for those who take part.
