Damen Yachting has announced the first hull in the Amels 80 series is “ready to grace the oceans” and begin sea trials in anticipation of her summer 2025 delivery. In a June 18 press release, the Dutch company said they are proud to unveil the 262ft/80m superyacht, calling the vessel “a masterpiece of advanced technology, craftsmanship, and deep connection to the sea.”
Project Manager Romke van der Linde stated that sea trials provide “a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the innovation, design, and power that this yacht delivers.”

Damen Yachting stated, “As the newest addition to the Amels Limited Editions range, the Amels 80 represents the next generation of luxury yachting, where innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability define the experience.”
The Amels vessel will have interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and exteriors by Espen Øino. Damen Yachting is responsible for its Naval Architecture. Hull one will be operated by 20 crew plus a captain and will host up to 14 guests.
Amels 80 Hull One Timeline:
- March 2022 – Amels 80 debuted after nearly two years of planning
- October 2023 – Technical launch ahead of outfitting
- November 2023 – Arrived in Vlissingen shipyard for outfitting
- May 2025 – Premier launch following yard period
- June 2025 – Sea trials begin
- Summer 2025 – Anticipated delivery to Owners
