Damen Yachting has announced the launch of Amels 8003, the third hull in the Amels 80 series. The vessel was launched from the Damen Yachting hull-building facility located in Galati, Romania. 8003 will now journey to Vlissingen, Netherlands to undergo the next phase of outfitting.
“Witnessing the third Amels 80 take to the water is an inspiring moment for the entire team,” commented Sander Peeters, Damen Yachting Project Manager. “We’re looking forward to her arrival in the Netherlands and advancing towards her delivery.”
The yacht exterior of Amels 8003 is designed by Espen Øino and is said to “combine exceptional performance with contemporary aesthetics.” Damen Yachting is responsible for the Naval Architecture. Although details of the yacht’s interior design are currently confidential, there is promise “to uphold the series’ reputation for luxury and innovative design.”
Hull 8003 is 261ft/80m in length and 2,175 gross tons. Once complete, the vessel will operate with 20 crew plus a captain and host 14 guests.

The Amels 80 debuted in March of 2022, with an anticipated delivery in Spring 2025. Following the premiere of Hull 8001, the launch of Hull 8002 and her subsequent start of outfitting occurred in August 2024. The completion of Amels 8003 is slated for 2026.
