Damen Yachting has recently launched the second Amels 80. The vessel’s launch took place at Damen Yachting’s hull building facility located in Galati, Romania. Amels 8002 is scheduled to be delivered to her new owner in 2026.

In a press release, Damen Yachting notes the new superyacht “represents the next generation of the Amels Limited Editions.” This Amels 80 features an exquisite combination of design excellence with yacht exteriors by Espen Øino and yacht interiors by Sinot.
Jan van Hogerwou, Commercial Executive of Damen Yachting, stated, “The second Amels 80 launch signifies another step forward in realizing this seasoned Owner’s dream and underlines the success of this Limited Editions Series.” Hogerwou was involved in the sale of this Amels 80 that took place in 2022.
The 2175GT vessel is enroute to the Netherlands to undergo final outfitting. Upon completion, the 261ft/80m motor yacht will host up to 14 guests and run with 20 crew plus a captain.
Project Manager Stefan Regtvoort said it was a “truly remarkable moment” to see the Amels 8002 in the water for the first time.
Regtvoort commented, “This Amels 80 looks impressive and myself and the team here in Vlissingen are eager to welcome her to the Netherlands and start the next phase of the build.”
