Thanks to a successful collaboration with Northrop & Johnson, superyacht builder Baglietto is celebrating the sale of two DOM133 models in just one week; one of the new orders will feature hybrid propulsion. The sales mark the fourth order of DOM133 yachts since the start of the year.

“We are extremely proud to be part of two Baglietto hull sales in less than one week,” says Northrop & Johnson President & COO Daniel Ziriakus. “Baglietto is an exceptional brand that builds incredible yachts with Italian style and pedigree. We are proud to be aligned with a brand that emphasizes the same values as Northrop & Johnson, including sustainability as hull no. 10252 offers eco-friendly solutions that will help move the yachting industry to a more eco-conscious place – a cause near and dear to N&J. We thank our dedicated, expert brokers, Sean and Charles, for their diligence and hard work to bring these deals to fruition and look forward to many more successes with Baglietto.”

Each of the yachts will boast highly customized layouts, which demonstrate the flexibility of the shipyard and its ability to offer a luxurious product that is tailored to its clients’ needs and desires. The yachts will be built of aluminum, and specifically with hull no. 1052, the yard further establishes itself as a leader in sustainable and eco-friendly solutions with hybrid technology.

Hybrid Propulsion System

The new DOM133 (hull no. 1052) will feature a hybrid propulsion system combined with traditional diesel engines, e-motors and batteries that depend on operational needs to reduce consumption and environmental impact. This will in turn increase efficiency and offer a reduction in noise and vibrations both at anchor and underway. This yacht will be able to reach a 17-knot maximum speed thanks to her two CAT C32 engines.

A Home Away From Home

The DOM133 line of yachts was created to provide its owners and guests with a home away from home, as DOM stands for DOMUS, which is defined in Latin as “home.” The series of mid-sized aluminum yachts is built around the lifestyle and needs of today’s yacht owners and offers a very personalized feeling that combines modern lines informed by automotive design with a substantial interior volume and wide open spaces.
