Luxury Yacht Hot Pursuit Sustains Fire Damage in Fort Lauderdale

Princess Yachts built, Hot Pursuit, caught fire on her flybridge, where fire crews worked tirelessly to contain the fire to her upper deck.

Fort Lauderdale fire crews were called to the scene of a 27m (88ft) luxury yacht ablaze in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday, March 8.  

Princess Yachts built, Hot Pursuit, caught fire on her flybridge, where fire crews worked tirelessly to contain the fire to her upper deck. The fire was extinguished quickly, however significant damage has been made to her GRP superstructure and the hard top. No causalities were reported, although one person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Hot Pursuit was built in 2018 as part of the Princess Y88 series with room for eight guests and three crew. It hasn’t been confirmed what started the fire, however, initial reports believe it was an electrical fault that sparked the blaze.
