Motor yacht KISMET has arrived in New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl LIX. The 400ft (122m) megayacht belongs to billionaire Shahid Khan, owner of the NFL team Jacksonville Jaguars. While his team is not playing in the big game, Khan is stirring up media attention by docking his Lürssen vessel at Woldenberg Park, a wharf along the Mississippi River in the Upper French Quarter.

The billionaire, who purchased the Jags in November 2011, has often garnered attention by docking KISMET in Jacksonville, Florida when his team is playing. In October 2024, when the Jaguars were playing in London, KISMET made a splash in the media while moored in Canary Wharf on the Thames River. The vessel made her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show the month prior.

Originally sold by Moran Yacht & Ship in 2019 and built under the name Project Jag, the 122m KISMET is the fourth vessel owned by Khan. The first KISMET was a 197ft (60m) superyacht delivered in 2007. The vessel was replaced in 2014 by a new 315ft (96m) megayacht. After being listed for sale in 2020, the third yacht sold in 2023 and is now called WHISPER. All of Khan’s Kismets have been built by German shipyard Lürssen.

KISMET notably has a silver jaguar built into the bowsprit. The yacht has a displacement steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. Her exterior was designed by Nuvolari Lenard with interiors by Reymond Langton Design.
