The third edition of Yachting Dinner Night was held in Pietrasanta in Viareggio, Italy, welcoming some of the industry’s most esteemed shipyards and industry players to a culinary event and playful competition.

Following the last two events in Pietrasanta and Amsterdam in 2022, creators, TOWANT and Ceragioli-Storåkers Associates held their first event for 2023. The dinner was held on March 14 at Ristorante Filippo with five shipyards competing against one another to present the best dish to a jury of architectural and design studios, and members of the press.
As Susanne Storäkers of Ceragioli-Storåkers Associates commented, “The idea was to bring together people from the industry to talk about something other than normal business dealings.” While Filippo Ceragioli, founder and CEO of Ceragioli-Storåkers Associates shared, “In yachting, due to long design and production lead times, it’s always a good idea to really get to know your potential partner for your next project, which is why the Yachting Dinner Night’s informal approach is a win-win idea.”
The five shipyards represented were Amer Yachts, Amico & Co., Benetti, Heesen, and Sanlorenzo, and each “chef” had to propose a dish that was relevant to their brand’s history, philosophy, or projects. Benetti was the unanimous winner, taking home the Yachting Dinner Award and the Press Award.
YATCO was in attendance to enjoy some of the delicious creations prepared by the yards. The team plan to host another Yachting Dinner Night later this year in Monaco, with further events to be announced throughout the year.
