Established in 1966 by Hugo Vold, Windy Boats are built in both Sweden and Poland. Setting new standards in performance and craftsmanship, the shipyard has been constructing seaworthy fishing boats, ranging in size from 26 to 52 feet, for over 50 years.

Windy Boats

Built in Sweden and Poland, Windy boats was founded in 1966 by Hugo Vold, the son of a fisherman.

With a love of the sea from an early age, Vold became a boatbuilder and called his company ‘Windy’ from the name ‘Vindy’, which was the name of all his father’s fishing vessels that continuously and reliably returned safely to shore. Vold wanted to build seaworthy boats with strength and versatility and did so when he started his own company building WINDY Sport Series, WINDY SR Series chase boats and yacht tenders.
