Company History

Owned by Richard Lacelle and Helen Goulet, Privilege Catamarans is located in Les Sables d’Olonne, France, home of the Vendée Globe solo around the world race.

The company was founded by Philipe Jeantot, who built his first catamaran in 1985 to cruise with his family. Alongside naval architect Marc Lombard, the two created catamarans that are bespoke and have lasted the test of time.

Privilege Sailing Catamarans

Sailing catamarans include the 510 and 580 Signature, the 640 Series and the 740 Series. The Privilege yard also built power catamarans in addition to sail, and constructed its first in the early ‘90s when they were a rare sight.

Due to its success at the time, the yard launched 50 of these power catamarans and the newly designed EUPHORIE 5 builds on that success. The EUPHORIE 5 is exceptionally fuel efficient and silent due to soundproof bulkheads that isolate cabins from the engine compartment. The company prides itself on working closely alongside clients to create a true semi-custom platform that will help create memories for a long time to come.
