Nauticat was founded in Finland in the year 2002 and built sailboats ranging in size from 33 feet to 52 feet. Originally known as Siltala Yachts, Nauticat Yachts changed its name in 2005. Based in Finland, the yard builds traditional ketch rigged motorsailers and pilothouse sailing yachts.

The company manufactured over 2,500 yachts that range in size from 33 to 51 feet, but declared bankruptcy in May of 2018 and is no longer in operation.
