Westport Yachts has announced the launch of the first hull in their new W117 series. The 117ft/35m motor yacht is currently undergoing sea trials and will be delivered to Florida in December 2024. President of Westport Yachts Daryl Wakefield expressed excitement over the launch, stating Westport “strive[s] to exceed expectations with every vessel we build, and this yacht is no exception.”
Westport W117: Sophistication Meets Sustainability
The W117 will embody Westport’s signature aesthetic; “a blend of sophistication, style, and seaworthiness” that the shipyard says will offer owners and guests the ultimate yachting experience. A standout feature is a brand-new hull that will enhance vessel performance and accommodate a state-of-the-art Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) System. Westport described the SCR as cutting-edge technology that aligns with their “commitment to environmental responsibility, minimizing emissions, and ensuring a cleaner, more sustainable yachting experience.”
Wakefield carries on his praise of the yacht saying, “As a leader in the industry, Westport Yachts continues to redefine the standards of luxury. The new [W117] model reflects our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and delivering unparalleled experiences for our discerning clientele.”
Exceptional Accommodation and Yacht Crew Support
The two-deck yacht will operate with 5 yacht crew members and host up to 10 guests. Placed forward on the main deck, the primary suite will span the vessel’s full beam. Features will include separate “his and hers” bathroom entryways and a center-line king bed. Three guest staterooms will have queen beds and ensuite baths. A port forward gym will contain Pullman bunk-style twin beds and a private bathroom. The interiors of the yacht feature muted tones of white, beige, and tan for a bright and elegant feel. Yacht owners will have the option to customize the upholstery.
Sundeck and Flybridge for Relaxation and Entertainment
The W117 has a sundeck complete with lounge area and a jacuzzi for ultimate relaxation with stunning views. A flybridge, forward of the guest lounge space, leads down to an enclosed wheelhouse with panoramic windows. With indoor and outdoor dining and lounge areas and a main deck bar, yacht owners have multiple options for entertaining. Steps on the main deck lead to a spacious swim platform that can be transformed into a beach club – an exceptional feature for a motor yacht of this size.
The Westport W117 will make her debut at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show.
