Oceanco Joins the New Realm of NFTs

As of its newest launch, the 109m Y720, Oceanco has recently announced that it is building a new arm dubbed Superyacht NFTs.

Hot on the heels of its newest launch, the 109m Y720, Oceanco has recently announced that it will be joining the world of non-fungible tokens with its new arm dubbed Superyacht NFTs. The celebrated superyacht builder will launch a series of NFTs that will be created under the premise that yachting is as fun as it is about the status of yacht ownership.

Chairman of Oceanco, Dr. Mohammed Barwani states, “At Oceanco, it is important to push the industry’s boundaries and challenge ourselves to continuously grow.” Group Marketing Director Paris Baloumis added, “Entering the world of NFTs felt like a natural progression for Oceanco and we wanted to make sure we offered something unique and exciting. Which is why we are putting fun and engagement at heart of Superyacht NFTs. We are making the exclusive more inclusive.”

Exploring Yachting Virtually and in Real-Life

Anchored on the Ethereum Blockchain, Superyacht NFTs will offer exclusive access to benefits that will be both virtual and in real-life. The company plans to work alongside established brands to offer these rewards to its new community. The collection of NFTs will be designed by Timur Bozca of Bozca Design, and will be based on the 345-foot explorer ESQUEL, a yacht that the two renowned brands previously collaborated on. The plan is that over time, holders will be offered the opportunity to add on to their tokens with supertoys and accessories

Pre-registration is currently live for those interested in gaining access to the first drop of SuperyachtNFTs at superyacht-nfts.com.

The superyacht powerhouse also recently launched the 190-meter Y720, a sophisticated motor yacht with exterior and interior yacht design by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, and Molly Isaksen Interior Inc. With the extensive use of glass, her main, bridge, and upper decks will be blanketed in oversized windows.

“The superyacht is a milestone for Oceanco, as her first phase of construction took place at the shipyard’s adjunct facility in Zwijndrecht, after which she was transferred to Alblasserdam for final outfitting. The yacht has been equipped with advanced environmental systems that exceed current regulations.”
