Interior Yacht Design of Bilgin Yacht’s 163 Unveiled

Bilgin Yachts, the Istanbul-based superyacht builder, has unveiled its official interior renderings of the Bilgin 163-II yacht, designed by Hot Lab.

Bilgin Yachts, the Istanbul-based superyacht builder, has unveiled its official interior renderings of the Bilgin 163-II yacht, designed by Hot Lab. This year has been an exceptionally busy period for the Turkish shipyard, with two units from its 163 series in build. With exterior yacht design and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design and interior yacht design by Hot Lab, the shipyard revealed that the second unit of the 50-meter Bilgin 163 project will have “timeless, stylish and comfortable living areas.”

The Bilgin 163 has a six-cabin layout, with a neutral color palette, large windows and high-gloss materials. With a 21m long sundeck and 12m long bridge-deck aft, she also offers exceptionally large exterior areas. “This yacht is a modern, contemporary and elegant vessel, with a perfect combination of smooth and edgy surfaces. The interior mood board is based on a few natural colors, which include sand, cream, light grey and white,” remarks Enrico Lumini, Partner and Design Director of Hot Lab. The yacht’s interior design incorporates wood, metal mesh laminated glass, and stainless steel.

The floor-to-ceiling windows accentuate her spacious rooms, with plush soft furnishings and thoughtful details throughout. Stylish glassworks and chandeliers add a sophisticated touch to the interior design – particularly in the large formal dining space. The master cabin is a notable highlight, with a private office, curated collection of artworks, and use of elegant fabrics and embossed leather.

Commenting on the shipyard’s latest successes, Bilgin Yachts’ CEO İsmail Şengün says, “We foresee a further enhancement in the distinctive signature of Bilgin Yachts. The new 163 series is one of our most ambitious projects and a perfect example of what we can offer to our clients.”

Speaking on the design by Hot Lab, Berkay Yilmaz, Commercial Director for Bilgin Yachts commented: “The yacht has very generous head heights throughout the living areas, large windows and low bulwark lines that increase the visibility in the main living room. A full height, round glass wall separates the lobby from the main living room. The Hot Lab team has added special features such as a floating staircase, skylight at sundeck floor and an amazing chandelier in the main lobby.”
