Heesen Yachts Delivered CINDERELLA NOEL IV After Sea Trials

Heesen Yachts has delivered CINDERELLA NOEL IV after concluding extensive sea trials in the North Sea.

Heesen Yachts has delivered its new 164ft/50m motor yacht CINDERELLA NOEL IV to its owners. On December 23, 2023, the owners held a christening ceremony for their custom vessel, attended by all the subcontractors and Heesen shipyard employees who took part in the build project. The yacht remained in the shipyard afterwards until the completion of all projects and thorough testing.

The steel hulled, hybrid propulsion yacht recently concluded extensive sea trials in the North Sea, despite inclement weather. The yacht owners were onboard during the trials and witnessed their vessel’s capability firsthand. Shipyard captain Bob van Zundert stated that poor weather resulted in wave heights of about 8-9ft with windspeeds of approximately 30kts. Captain van Zundert further commented “Conditions were perfect to test the handling of CINDERELLA NOEL IV. Her swift responses to helm and throttle commands in rough sea conditions generated a lot of confidence.”

As evidenced by their attendance during sea trials, the owners have played an active role in the design of CINDERELLA NOEL IV over the project’s 3.5 year stretch. Stefan Zucker and Sven Stark, who served as project managers, said in a press release, they had never experienced “such intense involvement of clients [who showed] so much enthusiasm and enjoyment for the yacht and appreciation for everybody [on] the build-team.” They further noted, “Heesen succeeded perfectly [in integrating the] enthusiastic owners in the production procedure and milestones” during the project.

The Heesen Shipyard team concur the yacht owners are the most remarkable part of CINDERELLA NOEL IV. As they plan to spend the majority of their time onboard with cruising planned through the Scandinavian archipelago and Norwegian fjords, the owners (one of whom is a captain) contributed keen attention to detail acquired from their years of yachting experience.

The yacht owners selected a hybrid propulsion system for CINDERELLA NOEL IV to lower the yacht’s environmental impact by saving energy and reducing emissions. This hybrid system utilizes the 21st century’s best technology to ensure the yacht is quieter and more efficient than traditional diesel propulsion. This system will also dramatically minimize vibrations while underway to offer guests ultimate cruising comfort.

CINDERELLA NOEL IV’s yacht interior was designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture with yacht exterior lines by Clifford Denn. Special features include a glass-bottom pool, sundeck lounge space, wellness/spa area, and flybridge steering.

Says Heesen’s Chief Operating Officer Rick van de Wetering, “It has been a pleasure to build Cinderella Noel IV and work so closely with her owners on a yacht that fits them like a glove and can take them safely wherever they want to go… On behalf of everyone at the shipyard, we wish them fair winds and following seas!”
