Currently undergoing sea trials and due for delivery to her new owners in the next few months, CALLISTO is the latest custom yacht launched by Feadship in April. This is the second yacht with the same name to be delivered to repeat clients of the renowned yard. With exterior yacht design and naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects, her yacht interior was styled by Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design.
A completely bespoke superyacht, the new 42.50-meter CALLISTO was built to the exact specifications of her berth that lies in the Mediterranean. Coming sixteen years after the launch of the first CALLISTO, the new superyacht was constructed for repeat clients of Alex-Lees Buckley of Camper & Nicholsons.
The owners required a fast superyacht with specific accommodations and exterior deck requirements that reflect a true connection with life at sea. Coming in at below 500GT, she is capable of achieving a 21-knot top speed powered by two MTU engines.
Yachting That Feels Like Endless Summertime in the Mediterranean
Built completely of aluminum, the new superyacht features five staterooms that accommodate up to 12 guests, as well as a full-beam bridge deck lounge and a spacious main deck salon. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design styled a yacht interior that reflects the summertime in the Med, with lots of space. Located forward on the main deck is the owner’s full-beam suite, while the lower deck features two full-beam VIP staterooms and an additional two twin staterooms. All guests will be looked after by eight crew.
Luxurious Ways to Enjoy a Light Sea Breeze and Life on Sea
A vast sun deck was requested to offer plenty of shaded areas, as was shelter from the wind; to satisfy the need, Feadship constructed glass walls to close off three sides of the central portion of the deck. The forward section of glass can be lowered to encourage a breeze if desired.
A spacious swim platform was an additional requirement to offer easy access to tenders and have the option for dining on the water. Al fresco opportunities continue on the bridge deck forward, which features a large seating area and a table, as well as space for sun loungers.
More Comfort at Higher Speeds
Her unique bow design was created to reduce pitching and lower resistance at higher speeds, and while the first CALLISTO is a classically designed Feadship, this new one has a sporty flair to reflect her swift nature.
