Damen Yachting has announced the launch of the first Xplorer 60, formerly known as SeaXplorer 60, a 197ft (60m) expedition yacht designed for adventure and built for ultimate grandeur. SX6001 redefines luxury exploration, offering its guests the pinnacle yachting experience. The Xplorer 60 obtained its award-winning design from the original Xplorer 58 PINK SHADOW design and the Xplorer 77 LA DATCHA, both of which have achieved remarkable success on the charter market.

Rose Damen, Managing Director of Damen Yachting, expressed since the 2015 introduction of the SeaXplorer concept, Damen Yachting has established itself as the luxury explorer yacht leader. The Xplorer 60 boasts exploration-focused features such as a helideck, crow’s nest and observation lounge, granting direct access to the foredeck to provide owners and guests with views of breathtaking Arctic landscapes. The yacht has hybrid power and propulsion with battery banks and is IMO Polar Code compliant engineering. Traditional superyacht amenities include a dedicated spa located on the bridge deck aft, complete with a full-size whirlpool. Additionally, the Xplorer 60 is equipped to store, launch, and lift a limo tender, crew tender, and jet skis from the main deck aft.
SX6001’s luxurious interiors are a bespoke design by H2 Yacht Design, representing the first collaboration between Damen Yachting and UK-based design studio on an Xplorer. Spanning three guest decks, the interior hosts six spacious suites for up to 12 guests and will be operated by 16 crew and a captain. Her anticipated delivery is summer 2025.
