Damen Yachting announced the launch of the seventh Amels 60 hull on Friday February 21, 2025. Amels 6007 entered the outfitting phase at the Dutch shipyard in February 2024 and will now undergo final outfitting. The company made note in their press release that the construction of the seventh yacht from the latest generation of Amels Limited Editions is a major achievement.

Joppe Osté of Damen Yachting served as the Project Manager for Amels 6007 and expressed what the achievement represents to both the project team and shipyard employees after a year of outfitting. Said Osté, “It’s an important moment for all the Damen Yachting team but also our co-makers and of course for the Owner. We are now fully focused on the final build phase so that we can ensure this yacht is ready for the lifetime at sea that she was built to enjoy.”
The Amels 60 Limited Editions, described by Damen Yachting, “showcases a forward-thinking design based on the solid foundation of craftsmanship and the proven platform of Damen Yachting’s naval architecture.” Espen Øino International designed the vessel’s exterior, combining “experience, elegance and innovation.” London-based design firm Harrison Eidsgaard collaborated with Amels for the first time to achieve a bespoke interior, distinctive of Hull 6007. The yacht’s 3,695sq ft (335sq m) interior carries a refined and luxurious, yet contemporary beach house aesthetic. Natural materials and a variety of textures create a warm and welcoming style.

Despite our involvement beginning relatively recently, we are delighted that the Owner was able to infuse many personal elements into the yacht, transforming it into a true home… On behalf of our entire organization, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the talented craftsmen and the Owner’s team on this remarkable achievement.”
The 197ft (60m) superyacht will host up to 12 guests and operate with 12 crew members plus a captain. Amels 6007 is anticipated to be delivered to her owners in Summer 2025.
