Due for delivery in 2025, the Amels 120 Full Custom is the largest superyacht being built in the Netherlands and the largest ever Amels built to date. Stretching out over 393.7ft (120m), she features an impressive five decks with exterior yacht design by Espen Øino and naval architecture completed in house by Damen Yachting. The yacht interior details remain under wraps as they are being custom designed for the owner, who is being represented by Deeside Maritime during this final phase.

Amels Project Manager Jeroen Waalewijn shares, “the launch of the hull was an emotional yet incredible moment for all of those who have played such an integral part in the [realization] of the Amels 120 Full Custom so far. To see her out on the water and to now have her here in Vlissingen is a testament to the entire project team. We look forward to this next stage in her build journey as we transform her into our future flag ship.”

As the Amels 120 Full Custom will take pride of place as the flagship yacht of Damen Yachting, the team has pushed every boundary to make sure she is as cutting edge as possible, with special care and attention to the environment.

According to the team, “to limit her impact on the environment, the superyacht will be powered by diesel-electric engines and Azipod® electric propulsion. She is set to operate with the lowest levels of noise and vibration ever recorded on a yacht of this size.”

Her arrival in Vlissingen follows the recent launch at the Amels hull building facility at Damen Shipyards Galati last month which was proudly attended by the team members at Vlissingen and Galati and plenty of excited local school children.
