Benetti has released photos and video footage of the custom-made 219.8ft (67m) CALEX, delivered in 2022 to her Californian owner. The Italian shipyard completed the build with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, with her sleek exterior design by Cassetta Yacht Designers and interiors finished by the Shipyard’s Style Department.

Yacht Design Details and Photos Released
With subtle design details throughout, CALEX features a color palette of neutral and light tones, complemented by precious marble, fine wood accents and ivory colored leather. An impressive five enclosed decks and one sundeck stretch out across CALEX’s 1,249gt, with indoor spaces blending seamlessly with the outdoors.
Benetti shares, “The stand-out feature of this 67-metre yacht is the Upper Deck, which has a surface area of 160 square meters devoted entirely to the owner’s personal spaces. A huge Master Cabin, containing a spacious suite, an elegant double bathroom, a private office and a walk-in wardrobe, extends from midships onto the foredeck outside and offers a 180-degree view, with two curved automatic sliding doors opening out onto an exclusive lounge area furnished with chaises lounges, armchairs, a table and an original gas fireplace. While wide open, it is a very private space, much of which cannot be seen from the upper decks as a result of the carefully planned volumes and depths.”
Also included on the foredeck is a touch and go helicopter pad, allowing the owner to quickly access or exit their suite, while a dining and relaxation area for the owner and their guests is also found here.
Down on the main deck, the owner requested two VIP cabins, one on each side of the yacht, a large open-air lounge, main saloon and formal dining for 12.
Two garages can be found on the main deck in the bow for the tender and various water toys.
The Lower Deck houses the remaining four guest cabins, two doubles and two convertible twins. The crew cabins for 16 sit in the bow on the lower deck, completed in similar tastes and designs to the rest of CALEX. Also found on the lower deck is the engine room, “Benetti’s first on a full custom yacht this size to fully comply with Tier III regulations.” A large swim platform allows access to the interior of the beach club through a large gullwing door, flooding the areas in natural light.
The Bridge Deck features more outdoor lounge areas, and a large captain’s cabin, allowing easy access to the bridge and helm station. Another request of the owner was to include ample space for exercise and well-being, which includes a central area on the sundeck with gym equipment and a jacuzzi pool.
CALEX interiors were completed by using the “box in a box” method to meet the highest construction standards and minimize noise production when cruising at 12 knots.
