Introduced in 1971 and built by Bluewater Yacht Builders LTD of Taipei, Taiwan, the Vagabond 47, the most well-known sailing yacht to come out of the yard, was designed by the renowned William Garden. Yacht hulls are built of solid fiberglass and resin with a full keel and attached rudder, while the decks and superstructure are built of teak. The Vagabond 47 features a small center cockpit, raised aft quarter deck, wide side decks and deep bulwarks, which made her such a popular offshore sailing cruiser.
