Company History
Established in 1973 in Italy, the Permare Group was put together to answer the call for yacht demand in the Liguria and French Riviera areas.
Until the ‘90s, the group was a dealer and builder on behalf of another Italian yacht builder, but then ventured on its own when it launched its brand Amer Yachts, which established itself well into the yachting arena as being reliable custom superyachts of top quality. Founded by Fernando Amerio and his sons, Permare is a family-owned and operated business. Over the last 40 years, the yard has built 80 yachts for clients all over the world. Currently, the Permare Group is made up of the Cantiere Sanremo Ship, the Cantieri del Mediterraneo and the Cantieri del Ponente. The group offers services for all types of vessels from Sanremo to Imperia, including refit projects. The company also offers charter and brokerage services for its current fleet of yachts.
