Company History

Nothing portrays “made in Italy” better than a Ferretti Yacht. Building on Italy’s centuries-old shipbuilding traditions, brothers Alessandro and Norberto Ferretti founded Ferretti Yachts in 1968.

Ranging in length from 46 to 124 feet, Ferretti luxury yachts have an air of elegance and creative genius about them. Their exclusive designs and timeless appeal make them instantly recognizable. And, their cutting-edge technology, safety record and imposing power and performance are why they sell like torte calde (that’s Italian for “hotcakes”) worldwide.

In 1971, the fledgling company launched its first motor sailing yacht. More than half a century later, Ferretti Yachts, a division of the Ferretti Group, is now one of the most prestigious luxury yacht builders in the world.

Ferretti Yacht 450

For yachters who like to cruise without crew, the Ferretti Yacht 450 is the ideal match. Even though it’s the smallest Ferretti luxury yacht, it holds its own against larger brands. At 46+ feet, the Ferretti 450 has three staterooms, a retractable swim platform/ tender lift and a flybridge overhang for al fresco dining. When it comes to power, there are two choices: either 480hp (25 knots cruising; 29 knots top speed) or 550hp (29 knots cruising; 31 knots top speed) Cummins diesel engines.

Ferretti Yacht 500

Always attuned to shifting trends in the luxury yacht market, the Ferretti brothers recognized the growing demand for what they referred to as “cruising couples.” These were cruisers who wanted a boat they could handle with little or no crew that offered flexible, roomy social areas. Enter the Ferretti Yacht 500. Its wide decks, large sunpads, three stateroom/two-head layout and convertible cockpit design and single-level salon plan were embraced by extended cruisers who were looking for a more laid-back alternative to the rigorous motor-yacht experience. These 50-foot Ferretti yachts for sale comfortably accommodate 12 in luxurious style.

Ferretti Yacht 510

Among the best in size and style, Ferretti 510 yachts for sale mark a distinct departure from previous Ferretti designs, starting with the full beam owners cabin and advanced galley, salon and cockpit layouts. High-gloss cherry finish and joinery add a touch of class to the interiors. The cockpit’s expansive design appeals to anglers and cruisers alike. Ferretti 510 yachts provide a smooth ride and the deep-vee hull delivers 34-knot top speed.

Ferretti Yacht 550

Tops in the under-60-foot market, the Ferretti Yacht 550 line emphasizes more exclusive interiors from some of the most prestigious Italian designers. From the three huge hull windows and flush portholes to the forward lounge area and lowered flybridge, the 55-foot Ferretti 550 luxury yacht is both sophisticated and practical. Al fresco spaces offer panoramic sea views and complete privacy at the same time. The optional Seakeeper 9 gyrostabilizer can reduce boat roll up to 95 percent and the twin 715hp Cummins diesel engines deliver a 30-knot top speed.

Ferretti Yacht 670

The Ferretti 670, which replaces the Ferretti 650, is built in Forli, Italy. It is wider, heavier and longer than its predecessor. But as soon as you step aboard, you know it’s still a Ferretti, because the classic, deluxe Italian interiors, glorious windows and large living spaces are ever-present. It’s the ergonomic design, active electro-hydronic steering, 7-inch increase in width, Naviop-Simrad integrated screens, Xenta Joystick, Quick bow thruster, 260-square-foot flybridge and aggressive hull design that let you know the Ferretti 670 is the next evolution in the Ferretti range.

Ferretti Yacht 680

Every Ferretti 680 motor yacht for sale is built with a GRP hull and superstructure, making it lighter, stronger and more resistant to climate and weather conditions. The Ferretti 680 has several sunbathing areas, ample storage for water toys, an enormous flybridge and four luxurious cabins just waiting to overindulge eight lucky guests. Twin 1200hp MAN engines provide a maximum speed of 33 knots.

Ferretti Yacht 700

With its aerodynamic design and restyled hull, the sporty Ferretti Yacht 700 has a cruising speed of 29.5 knots, a top speed of 32.5 knots and a range of 300 nautical miles.

Here are just two of many Ferretti 700 refinements – one aesthetic and one functional – that affirm the brand is always evolving:

  • The introduction of a second color – Vulcan Grey – to enhance the Ferretti 700’s new slender profile.
  • And, the bright idea of housing all satellite systems and antennas in the roll bar in order to free up the aft area for an expansive terrace.

Ferretti Yacht 830

Ferretti Yachts compares owning one of its magnificent fleet of luxurious 50- to 100-foot flybridges to having your own private island. And the Ferretti Yacht 830, part of the hard-top series, is an excellent example. This impressive 83-foot motor yacht was built with socializing and entertaining family and friends top of mind. The master suite, VIP stateroom, double and twin cabins are as comfortable as they are beautiful. The 830 also accommodates up to four crew members. The spacious open-plan salon and dining area, large cockpit, galley and helm along with tender storage/platform are just a few of the amenities onboard every Ferretti 830 yacht for sale.

Ferretti Yacht 850

Described as a luxury icon, the Ferretti Yacht 850 offers airy accommodations and a flybridge expansive enough for freestanding furniture. Built-in windows and integrated portholes let in natural light and provide vast views of sea and sky. Open the garage door, flip a switch and it’s just like being beachside. Plus, the submerged platform makes it easy to maneuver a tender. Power options include twin V12 1775hp engines (26 knots cruising; 29 knots maximum), or twin V12 1875hp engines 27 knots cruising; 31 knots maximum). Ferretti Yacht 850 – ultra modern yet warmly livable.

Ferretti Yacht 870

Anything but traditional, Ferretti 870 yachts for sale are far more formal than other models in the 800 line. For starters, the galley is extra large and enclosed, and the wheelhouse is separate. The huge cockpit has its own bar and is bigger than the salon. This is one luxury motor yacht that feels bigger than its 87 feet thanks to an ingenious layout and lavishly appointed amenities.

Ferretti Yacht 881

Calm on the inside. Aggressive on the outside. Two 2,000 hp MTU diesels effortlessly power the Ferretti 881 yacht to a top speed of 32 knots. (Don’t worry, the anti-rolling gyro keeps the boat stable even at top speed.) The comfortable interiors are simple and relaxing. Touches of innovation pop up where you least expect them: grand side-hull windows and a garage built into the stern that can accommodate a small tender or Jet Ski, for example. Ferretti 881 yachts for sale have all the elements of traditional luxury motor yachts with the heritage and know-how of Italian master builders.

Ferretti Yacht 920

In 2018, Ferretti’s 920 yacht expanded the venerable company’s line to 11 models, ranging from 45 feet to 96 feet. With its new wide body, fabulous flybridge, largest-ever bow area on a Ferretti Yacht and multipurpose leisure areas, the Ferretti 920 yacht has become a favorite among cruising aficionados. Here are a few reasons why:

  • 2 layouts (four or five staterooms)
  • 3 MTU engines, starting with V16 2000 M96 2,435hp (cruising: 26 knots;
    maximum: 30 knots)
  • 6-foot, 7-inch headroom
  • 172-square-foot foredeck
  • 320-square-foot formal dining area
  • 564-square-foot flybridge entertainment area

Ferretti Yacht 960

The flagship of the fleet when it was launched in 2013, the hand-built Ferretti 960 yacht is all about comfort, convenience, relaxation and leisure. The new design made the 960 yacht just small enough to be classed CE (pleasure boat) so owners could cruise sans crew, and added amenities and features to ensure it measured up to 100-footers. Some of these features include a forward master stateroom on the main deck, four same-size guest cabins, sweeping outdoor areas (top and aft) and a garage/platform module that is a technological marvel. No captain? No worries. This big yacht is easy to maneuver. The Ferretti 960 yachts for sale don’t shortchange the crew, however. There are three cabins for up to five crew. And just like the super-yachts, the galley is forward and connected to crew quarters.

Ferretti Yachts Custom Line 124

The Ferretti Custom Line 124 is a favorite of those who want performance and speed as well as the amenities and comfort of a truly superior super yacht. With fabulous deck spaces, five en-suite staterooms and crew cabins for seven, along with outstanding hydrodynamic performance, the Ferretti Custom Line Yacht 124 is like a floating penthouse, cruising along at a cool 25 to 27 knots.
