Bertram is a renowned American designer and manufacturer of offshore capable sportfishing yachts known for its speed and stability since the 1960s.
The boatbuilding company was founded by Dick Bertram, a bluewater sailing yacht and powerboat racer, who introduced his first creation, the 31-foot vessel Moppie, during the 1960 Miami-Nassau Powerboat Race. The unique deep-V hull design of Moppie left onlookers and competitors stunned as the yacht cut through the roughest waters and won the race.
Since then, the innovative hull design has become one of the main features of these luxury yachts and is the foundation of an empire of award-winning Bertram Yachts. The company is very well-respected in the luxury yachting and boating industry for producing some of the most seaworthy and innovative designs and building yachts with the finest marine components, materials, and construction techniques.
Today, Bertram delivers luxury performance and sportfishing boats ranging up to 80 feet in length. The yacht company is part of the Gavio Family, a group of renowned and successful Italian entrepreneurs who also owns Baglietto, the historical luxury superyacht builder from Italy, and Cerri Cantieri Navali.
