Freire shipyard, located on Spain’s west coast, has officially handed over the largest superyacht ever built in the country, 366.1ft (111.85m) RENAISSANCE, to her new owner.
Featuring an interior and exterior yacht design by Bannenberg & Rowell Design, and naval architecture by Marin Teknikk AS, RENAISSANCE is an ice-classed yacht with an interior volume of 7,200gt and has been built to the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) to accommodate 36 guests in 19 cabins.
While few details on the overall design have been released, notable features include a helipad and large swimming pool on the main aft deck.
The Freire team commented on the handover, “We want to thank the more than 600 people who have worked on this project over the last years. Both direct personnel from the shipyard, subcontractors, suppliers, financial entities, and the classification society involved in this incredible project. We extend a special and heartfelt thanks to the shipowner for placing their trust in Freire Shipyard.”
RENAISSANCE will now be available to charter in the Mediterranean through Burgess.

The yacht will be available for charter this summer in the Mediterranean and is ready to secure bookings for 2024 in this location also, winter 2024/25 will see RENAISSANCE transiting over to the Caribbean.”
