Mangusta Oceano 50 Yacht Wins Best of Show at FLIBS

Mangusta Yachts’ Oceano 50 (part of the Overmarine Group) was awarded the prestigious title of ‘Best of Show’ at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) this week. There were 40 debuts in the running for the title, which was narrowed down to six finalists.

“We are incredibly excited to have been awarded this year’s Best of Show winner,” said Stefano Arlunno, Mangusta Yachts’ President of Americas. “The Mangusta Oceano 50 offers her guests generous interior and exterior spaces, while floor-to-ceiling windows create a smooth, seamless continuity between the indoor and outdoor areas.”

The winner of the Best of Show award is judged on a variety of factors, including performance, design, technology, and architecture. Each year, the winner is selected by an elite panel of independent judges. This year’s panel included Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, former professional motocross and stock car driver Ricky Carmichael, yacht captain and Bravo’s Below Deck star Captain Sandy Yawn, champion race car driver Kyle Kirkwood, West Marine Chief Commercial Officer Captain Stacey Renfro, and West Marine Vice President of Brand Marketing Josh Horoshok.

“The Mangusta Oceano 50 perfectly illustrates the top-tier luxury mega yachts and world-class exhibitors that make FLIBS a global boat show leader,” said Andrew Doole, President of U.S. Boat Shows with Informa Markets. “We are thrilled to crown the Mangusta Oceano 50 as the Best of Show winner at our 63rd annual boat show for all visitors to enjoy.”

The 50m (164ft) motor yacht is powered by two MTU 12V 2000 M86, 1700 horsepower engines for a maximum speed of 16 knots. While at a cruising speed of 11 knots, the luxury yacht has a range of up to 4,500 nautical miles
