Heesen Yachts has announced the official keel laying of their 187’ (57m) full custom yacht, YN 20857, Project Setteesettanta, in the presence of the Lloyds Register surveyor at their shipyard in Oss. Also in attendance were the owners who welded a traditional “good luck coin” to their yacht.

Project Setteesettanta Details

The yacht interior design will be completed by Cristiano Gatto who will also represent the owners during the build process, while Hugo Morgan-Harris will take care of the technical aspects

Gatto shares, “I have been working with Heesen for many years, and between us we have over twelve projects under our belt. Over time, we have developed a relationship of mutual trust and respect through working on both full custom and series projects. I envision this project as a pioneering venture, a realm where our studio passionately engages in both interior design and as the Owner’s Representative. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the owners for entrusting us with this endeavor.”

Project Setteesettanta is the first yacht in the fleet to have a bridge on the fourth deck, while maintaining a sleek appearance with mast designed by Frank Laupman which effortlessly blends with the superstructure. New flat Star Link comm panels replace traditional styles which further helps to keep a clean and light design. The open transom and near vertical bow is similar to other recent Heesen designs, as well as the four-meter infinity pool.

A total of six cabins will be featured onboard, including a large master stateroom on the upper deck with 180-degree views and a private 200 sqm terrace with touch and go helipad. A VIP cabin is on the main deck starboard next to the gym, with four further guestrooms, two twins and two doubles, located on the lower deck.

All four decks are connected by a showstopping oval staircase, with a large formal dining area located on the stern of the main deck, adjacent to the terrace. This is seamlessly connected with the outdoors through wide sliding doors.

Niels Vaessen, Heesen’s CEO comments, “It is a great honor that these experienced owners have entrusted us to build them a second yacht. Project Setteesettanta is quintessentially Heesen. A full-custom, 57-metre motor yacht cannot be anything other than perfect, and there isn’t a shipyard in the world with a better knowledge of the techniques and disciplines needed to reach these heights. Lightweight aluminum construction requires exacting skills. Today, as we officially begin the construction of their dream yacht, we are delighted to celebrate this milestone together. At Heesen, we build yachts with pride that are tested to withstand the elements and provide a safe and enjoyable life at sea for the owners and their crew. Iconic design and luxury rest on Heesen’s rock-solid foundation and create everlasting memories.”
