The Cockburn Sound Regatta, “where serious sailors have serious fun,” returns for its 67th year in Rockingham, Australia from December 26-30, 2024.
Boxing Day Kickoff: Kwinana Industries Council Race
Beginning on Boxing Day morning, many of the Metro based boats enter the Kwinana Industries Council Race to Mangles Bay in Rockingham. All are invited in the early afternoon to enjoy drinks and a barbeque while mingling with friends old and new.
Main Regatta Events: December 27-30, 2024
The Regatta itself will begin on December 27 and will run over the next three and a half days.
Participating sailors can look forward to a variety of events including Around the Buoys, Windward Leeward and Passage Races, (weather dependent). Events at the regatta will include all boat types that want to participate.
From high-tech carbon fliers to stubby keeled cruisers, multihulls or off-the-beach dinghy, there will be an event for every sailor.
Once daily activities on the water have concluded, the fun continues with nightly live music, themed buffet meals, and a quiz night. Whether participating as a competitor or spectator, the Cockburn Sound Regatta will be fun for all in attendance.
