Southeast Asia / The Last Frontier
Southeast Asia is one of the last frontiers for charter yachts. The growing infrastructure and ingrained hospitality culture is quickly moving Southeast Asia to the top of many charter yacht “must” lists. As a relative newcomer on the charter yacht radar, charter guests will have a higher probability of finding a private sand beach tucked along the coast along the Andaman Sea.
Southeast Asia offers a wealth of destinations for yacht charter: Bali is world-renowned for its beaches. Phuket reigns supreme as the epicenter of megayacht charters. Malaysia and Indonesia for its multitude of islands, and Thailand and Vietnam offer rich cultural experiences and historical landmarks. Many of the countries of Southeast Asia blend bustling metropolitan cities and ancient temples, offering on-land excursions to appease any guest. The warm cruising waters offer a wealth of charter activities too. Charter guests who love to snorkel or scuba dive will find plenty of reefs and wrecks to explore.
Southeast Asia is attracting more charter yachts every year. Guests seeking a yacht will be able to choose from yachts based in Southeast Asia year round and crewed by locals who know the best of everything. Local shipbuilding can even be seen in some of the traditional Phinisi-style yachts. There are many traditional sailing and motor yachts available for charter as they work their way through their owners’ cruising schedules. The Indian Ocean, the Andaman Sea and the Pacific Ocean each offer a wealth of beaches, reefs, coves, temples and cities to keep even the most active charter guests entertained.
