The Italian yard Cantieri di Pisa unveiled its new line of flybridge motor yachts named ‘Akhir’ this week, a result of its exclusive partnership with automotive designer Etienne Salomè.
The new yachts will be available in three size categories: 31m (110ft) Akhir 110, 37m (122ft) Akhir 122, and 42m (140ft) Akhir 140. Each yacht will be crafted from composite hybrid glass and carbon fiber, which will enhance the vessel’s speed and agility and reduce weight. Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 2400 hp engines, the Akhir 110 will have a top speed of 29 knots and a cruising range of 900 nautical miles, while the Akhir 122 and Akhir 140 reach between 27 and 30 knots, with a range between 800 and 900 nautical miles.
These latest designs reflect Cantieri di Pisa’s ongoing commitment to speed, lightweight vessels for better fuel consumption and a more significant nautical range. The three new flybridge yacht designs feature sleek and sporty lines.
Further exciting news from the shipyard includes an update on its innovative Pisa 80 Veloce yacht, which is on track for delivery this summer. The Pisa 80 Veloce is also designed by Etienne Salomè, with yacht interior and exterior detailing from Redaelli Associati, it will feature a 98 percent carbon body that will allow speeds of more than 60 knots.
