Baglietto Launches the Fifth Dom 133 Motor Yacht, ASTERA

Italian shipyard Baglietto debuted M/Y ASTERA at La Spezia headquarters. Hull #10246 is the fifth vessel in their DOM 133 series.

The launch took place in the port of Carrara with M/Y ASTERA’s owners and their representative, Robert Lama of IYC in attendance before the vessel was moved to La Spezia shipyard to conclude the fit-out process.

M/Y ASTERA was designed by Stefano Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis in Rome, Italy. The vessel is highly customized, boasting innovative features not seen on other yachts in the series. Maximizing interior space was the focus on this build, as demonstrated by a beam width of 28.5ft (8.7m). The upper deck salon can also extend into two side balconies. Ventilation ducts were placed outside on the main deck to fully glaze the yacht’s port side.

The main deck owner’s cabin contains two floor-to-ceiling windows to fill the cabin with natural light, allowing for incredible views. With four guest cabins on the lower deck as well as separate crew cabins, the yacht can carry 10 guests and eight crew. M/Y ASTERA has an aluminum displacement hull and superstructure and runs on dual Caterpillar C32 engines for a max cruising speed of 17 knots
