Meet VIBRANCE: A Timeless 162’ Amels Masterpiece
Onno: “We’re going to have a quick tour of VIBRANCE, an amazing AMELS build, and we’re going to check it out. She is for sale at the moment—built in 2004, recently refit in 2024. She’s 162 feet (49 meters), holds 11 crew, and sleeps 10 or 12 guests across five cabins. Let’s go on and get some more questions answered about this amazing vessel.”
From the Med to the Caribbean: VIBRANCE’s Journey
Captain Adrian Croft: “Well, she was built in 2004. This is her third owner—he’s had the vessel since around 2017 and has used it quite extensively. We’ve spent a lot of time in the Mediterranean, doing charters out there, and now we’re focusing more on the USA and Caribbean markets.
“This vessel is just under 50 meters and has a gross tonnage of 659 GT, which speaks to her interior volume. We have high ceilings, light and pleasant décor, and five guest cabins: one master, two VIPs, and two twin cabins with Pullman berths. The boat is very quiet when underway and incredibly comfortable. You’ll notice a lot of natural materials onboard—woods, light carpets, soft tones—creating a warm and inviting ambiance.
“We have elegantly appointed dining areas, both indoor and alfresco. The sun deck is a standout feature, with a spa pool, full bar, alfresco gym, and lounge areas. We’ve hosted parties for up to 60 guests up there—it really comes alive.”
162’ Amels Charter Appeal: A Favorite Among Guests
Onno: “It sounds like VIBRANCE works equally well as a private yacht or a charter vessel. What’s her reputation like in the charter market?”
Adrian: “She’s a very popular charter yacht. We’ve had repeat clients who love what the crew brings to the experience—exceptional service, attention to detail. But of course, the yacht sells itself. She’s beautiful, has a distinct style, and has a loyal following.”
The Crew Behind the Experience
Onno: “What about the crew setup? How many does she carry?”
Adrian: “We typically run with 11 crew members. With the captain and partner, we can accommodate up to 12 if needed. For private use we usually operate with 10, but we add extra staff for charters.
“And you’re absolutely right—the crew is critical. Just like in any company, the people make the difference.”
Onno: “What stands out about the current crew?”
Adrian: “Well, everyone talks about the chef first—we’ve got a highly skilled French chef onboard. The owners love him, and the crew does too. He’s exceptional. Overall, we have a very international team—from South Africa, Kenya, Britain, France, and Italy. We’ve looked for American crew, but it’s been challenging to find the right fit. Ultimately, we hire for professionalism, strong social skills, and the ability to work well as a team.”
