Company History

If you lived on the earth’s largest island continent and wanted to start a business, what might it be? Maybe something to do with boats? In 1980, five experienced shipbuilders pooled their resources, founded Riviera Marine and launched their first boat – the 38 MKI. By 1981, Riviera Marine, now Riviera Yachts, was building eight boats a year. In the ‘90s, with 280 employees, Riviera Yachts had expanded its line to three models, won three consecutive Boat of the Year awards from Modern Boating and begun construction on a new state-of-the-facility in Coomera. Twelve years later, Rodney Longhurst, a Gold Coast developer and qualified builder and joiner, acquired Riviera Yachts.

Riviera Yachts has five collections to choose from: Enclosed and Open Flybridge range, Sport Yachts, SUV series and Sports Motor Yacht. Here are the highlights of each collection:

Enclosed Flybridge Collection

Riviera Yachts Enclosed Flybridge Collection beckons to cruisers and anglers alike. Whether fishing or entertaining, the wide decks and free-flowing platforms of the 52, 54, 56, 57 and 77 models make every activity easy and enjoyable. When the Riviera Yacht 77 joined the Collection in 2015, it was the largest, most luxurious and technically advanced Riviera yacht ever built. Not just another gorgeous yacht, although the sleek profile and view from the Riviera Yacht 77 penthouse are breathtaking, the Riviera 77 holds its own even in the roughest weather. The advanced marine technology makes sure you safely reach your destination. The four staterooms (including a full-beam master) and four bathrooms guarantee the journey is a comfortable one.

Open Flybridge Collection

When conditions are poor, there’s nothing like an enclosed flybridge to weather the storm or heat, especially while cruising. Serious blue-water anglers, on the other hand, love nothing better than the clear view and visibility an open flybridge offers. They like the fact that they never lose touch with nature and that conversation between flybridge and cockpit is possible.

So, if you prefer feeling the breeze, hearing birds and spotting fish, one of the three models (39, 43 and 45) in Riviera Yacht’s Open Flybridge Collection for sale might be for you. Each is intelligently designed, easy to handle (even for newbies) and comes with advanced touchscreen technology. Models from Riviera Yacht’s Open Flybridge Collection also offer luxurious, comfortable accommodations, including two or three spacious staterooms with one or two bathrooms.

Sports Motor Yacht Collection

Riviera Sports Motor Yachts bring structural superiority, refined design and a whole new level of luxury to long-distance cruising. For this Collection (64, 68 and 72) Riviera Yachts teamed up with one of the world’s leading naval architects, with the goal of redefining the class.

The instant popularity of the Riviera Yacht 72 is proof they succeeded. Launched in 2018, with a range of 1,120 miles, the 72-footer is the go-to motor yacht for ocean crossings, sport-fishing and entertaining. Designed to be owner-operated, the Riviera Yacht 72 has an enclosed flybridge, several entertaining areas and other amenities one expects from a traditional yacht. The big surprise is it delivers the speed and performance associated with a sports cruiser as well as a quiet ride.

All three models in Riviera Yacht’s Sports Motor Collection for sale include wide open salon, mezzanine and cockpit spaces and either three or four staterooms and three bathrooms.

Sport Yacht Collection

Riviera Sport Yachts for sale include the 4800, 5400 and 6000. What makes Riviera’s ultramodern sport yachts exceptional is the flawless marriage of style and performance. With their wide, deep cockpit, rear glass bulkhead and transom BBQ center, Riviera Sport Yachts are an entertainer’s dream. The advanced inboard propulsion system and easy access to the engine room along with amenities such as a push button sun roof over the cockpit and three joystick control points, help explain why this collection is so hot. As for accommodations, buyers can choose from three configurations: four staterooms/three heads, three staterooms/two heads, two staterooms/two heads.

SUV Collection

Like their counterpart on land, Riviera’s Sport Utility Vessels are versatile and multi-purpose. Want to go fishing or scuba diving? Try the 43-foot Riviera Yacht 395. Love to cruise the days away? Check out the 47-foot Riviera Yacht 445. Entertaining family and friends your favorite pastime? Then take a look at the Riviera Yacht 525 and 575. Their expansive, open cockpits make entertaining pure pleasure and their flexible stateroom layouts are a plus for extended cruising. With Riviera Yacht’s SUV Collection, you really get two yachts for the price of one. You get the stability, offshore performance and open cockpit of Riviera’s flybridge models (minus the flybridge) and the magnificent entertainment platform of the Sport Yacht collection.
