Based in the Netherlands, Icon Yachts is a shipbuilding company specializing in superyachts. The 25-year-old shipyard is located along the historic port of Harlingen, where they have unfettered access to the water.
The property contains a large, heated dry dock for vessels up to 150 meters in length and a 7.5 meter draft. The yard also boasts a 4,500-ton syncrolift and has the capacity to for refits as well as new builds.
ICON Yachts was established in late 2005 by Tom Van Dam and Alex Shnaider, who were later joined by other business partners including Jen Wartena, the company’s CEO. The highly notable shipyard was the first ever to earn the ISO 9001:2008 certificate, and it won multiple design awards from Showboats Magazine and the World Superyacht Awards.
Superyacht ICON Designed by Redman Whitely Dixon
The 68-meter superyacht ICON designed by Redman Whitely Dixon was launched in 2010 and was built with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. The full-displacement charter yacht features an interior décor by Studio Linse, however her interior and exterior yacht design was penned by Redman Whitely Dixon. Created by Studio Linse, the superyacht ICON interior spaces feature many options for socializing and relaxing. The décor by Studio Linse is timeless and elegant, and offers distinct areas fit for the most discerning yachtsmen.

In 2014, superyacht ICON benefitted from an extensive refit, which extended her by 5 meters and included a beach blub and infinity pool. Designed for extensive world cruising, guests are cared for by 16 crew members. Including an array of waters featuring jet-skis, SCUBA gear, and several tenders including a Long Island 26 tender with a 315hp inboard engine, she features unique amenities such as a hammam and a sauna. Her well-trained yacht crew is available for instruction of the water toys including the jet-skis, water skis, and many more and are there to meet every need of each guest onboard.
The new ICON 280 boasts naval architecture by Van Oossanen and features a classic exterior yacht design by the renowned Tim Heywood. To his credit, Tim Heywood has many other yachts he designed including the famous 483-foot Topaz, 436-foot Al Mirqab, and 377-foot Pelorus, as well as numerous other well-known custom superyachts.
At 84 meters, the ICON 280 welcomes up to 12 guests onboard and features an oversized master suite at 126 square meters with stunning views from the upper deck.
