Based in New Zealand, Alloy Yachts built custom aluminum performance sailing yachts and superyachts. The company first launched a 28 meter performance sailing yacht in 1985, which an ambitious project for a first. Managing Director Tony Hambrook was at the helm of the company for 27 years, and led the shipyard through building sailing yachts over 67 meters, and motor yachts up to 47 meters. The company ceased operations in 2016 due to the decrease in demand for sailing yachts.
