About the Sydney International Boat Show:

Since 1968, The Sydney International Boat Show, organized by The Boating Industry Association Ltd (BIA), has brought together thousands of visitors from around the world who arrive to be entertained, educated, and inspired by more than 200 exhibitors across two venues.

The boat show features over 140 boats on the marina and 700 boats in 24,800 square meters (266,900 square feet) of undercover hall space. The Sydney International Boat Show is the event to meet the top Australian, Taiwanese, and Chinese boat builders and shipyards. The boat show focuses on the sub-30 meter boat size range.

Held in Darling Harbour, the Sydney International Boat Show also welcomes a large variety of companies showcasing the latest boating equipment and services ranging from water sports through surfing and water skiing. Visitors to the show can discover and compare products, learn about trends in the recreational or light commercial boating or marine industry, view various watercraft, and hear about the regulations and safeguards in place to protect Australia’s waterways. Each year, Transport for NSW, the boat show’s partner, presents the Boating Safety Zone during the event, along with information on how to remain safe and have a wonderful day out on the water. This information is especially crucial since Australia is fast becoming one of the top destinations for cruising, long-range fishing, or inshore water sports.

With hundreds of boats on display and all the gear to go along with them, this boat show features the many ways individuals and families can get out and enjoy the ocean.
