Miami International Yacht Sales

Robert Lama founded Miami International Yacht Sales in 2011 after a long history of successful business practice in New York State. Robert owned and operated the Lama Companies which included Lama Commercial Insurance Brokerage, Lama Commercial Real Estate, and Romar Acquisitions. Lama Commercial Insurance Brokerage was acquired by First Niagara Financial Group (FNFG). Robert became a member their leadership group which managed over $600,000,000 in annual insurance sales.

During this time Robert owned a number of personal yachts, eventually bringing one to Miami. While cruising the Miami, Bahamas, and other South Florida ports Robert found a tremendous opportunity to bring his business acumen to the yacht brokerage industry. He quickly found success and emerged as one of the top brokers in the industry. Today he continues offering his personal attention to large yacht sales, construction, and acquisitions. His practice consists of assembling the “best of the best” including maritime attorneys, yacht managers, import and documentation agents, new construction oversite surveyors, charter managers, and other essential members of the industry.

Robert has also formed alliances with cooperating brokers around the world including Monaco, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Turkey, Dubai, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the British Virgin Islands, and Latin America.
