The Discover Boating® Norwalk Boat Show®, in partnership with Progressive® Insurance, returns to Norwalk Cove Marina from September 18–21, 2025. Set against the scenic backdrop of Norwalk Harbor, this annual event offers a dynamic celebration of life on the water, featuring an extensive selection of boats and a wide range of interactive attractions.

Whether you’re new to boating or a seasoned enthusiast, the Norwalk Boat Show has something for everyone. From hands-on experiences to expert advice and family-friendly activities, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore the latest in marine innovation at the largest marina facility in the area.

Interactive Experiences at the Show

From hands-on boating lessons to scenic cruises and kid-friendly activities, the Discover Boating Norwalk Boat Show is packed with interactive experiences for all ages. Whether you’re looking to get out on the water, learn something new, or simply relax and enjoy the harbor views, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

  • Lighthouse Tour – Enjoy an hour-long boat ride to the historic Green’s Ledge Lighthouse, hosted by the Norwalk Seaport Association, where you’ll discover its important role in Long Island Sound’s maritime history.
  • Power Boat Rides – Freedom Boat Club is offering free power boat rides on Long Island Sound. Register now at Try It Cove and get ready to unwind in style!
  • Mohegan Sun Sandbar – Relax and catch up with your crew at the Mohegan Sun Sandbar, where you can enjoy drinks, live music from Pete’s One Mann Band, and stunning views of Norwalk Harbor.

  • Fred’s Shed How-to Center – Visit Fred’s Shed How-to Center for free, personalized boating maintenance advice. Expert technicians are available to assist both experienced captains and first-time sailors with all their boating and mechanical questions.
  • Touch Tank – Explore the Touch Tank to learn about the vital roles Tidepool creatures play in the ecosystem, with a hands-on experience featuring native species from Long Island Sound. Presented by The Brien McMahon Marine Science Academy, this interactive exhibit offers a close-up look at local marine life.
  • Kid’s Boating Adventure – The Discover Boating Norwalk Boat Show offers plenty of family-friendly fun, including a miniature lake where kids as young as three can enjoy paddle boating. Young visitors can also get creative by building their own toy boats.
  • Water Club Lounge – Unwind with a drink and enjoy waterfront views at the Water Club Lounge. After exploring the latest boats, stop by Space T at the Head of Dock B to relax in this tented seaside retreat.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can I purchase tickets? – Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Adult general admission tickets are priced at $20.00 each and are valid for any one day of the show. Children aged 12 years and younger can enter free when accompanied by a paid adult admission. For groups of 10 or more, tickets are available at a discounted rate of $16.00 per person, also valid for any single day of the event, with the same free admission policy for children 12 and under.
  • Are military discounts available? – All active and veteran military personnel, first responders, and members of the USCG and USCGA are invited to attend free of charge on Thursday, Sept. 19. Present your military or equivalent ID along with a photo ID at Will Call to claim your complimentary boat show ticket.
  • Is there on-site parking? – Yes, parking is available at no cost at Calf Pasture Beach. Additionally, a complimentary water taxi service runs from 9:30am to 7:30pm Thursday through Saturday, and from 9:30am to 5:30pm on Sunday.
  • Will there be concessions? – Yes, a variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase.
  • Are pets allowed on the showgrounds? – Only service animals are permitted.
