About the Northwest Sportshow:

The Northwest Sportshow will be held from March 13-16, 2025, at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minnesota. The event will feature over 175 exhibitors showcasing a variety of products, including camping, hunting, and fishing gear, home and decor items, pet supplies, sporting goods, apparel, and much more. The show is run by Marketplace Events who produce some of the longest-running and most successful home and sporting shows in the U.S. and Canada.

Interactive Experiences at the Show

  • Fishing 101 – Learn fundamental fishing skills, test casting accuracy, and more with staff from Lund Boat Fishing Pros and Student Angler Tournament Trail Coaches. Kids can receive a free fishing coloring book or enjoy a game of FISH Bingo.
  • RV Area – Featuring 60,000 sq. ft. of the newest RV makes and models, the RV Area will feature dealers including Hilltop Camper and RV, Markquart RV, Minneapolis Trailer Sales, Niemeyer Trailer Sales, North Country RV, and PleasureLand RV Center. Presented by the Metro RV Dealers Association.
  • Trout Pond – Introduce kids to the fun of fishing at this catch-and-release pond!
  • Activities with Ducks Unlimited – Learn about conserving wetlands and safeguarding waterfowl in Minnesota with Ducks Unlimited. Participate in silent auctions, raffles, and more. Kids can enjoy free duck decoy painting (while supplies last).
  • Educational Seminars – Six speakers will host 15+ educational seminars over the course of the show. Presentation topics include fishing equipment and techniques, navigation technology, and tips for catching bass, walleye, muskies, and more. View the seminar schedule here.
  • Fishing Demo Tank – Enhance your casting techniques with expert anglers at the Demo Tank, a 5,000-gallon aquarium showcasing native Minnesota species.
  • Up North Lodge – Unwind and take a break from winter for a few hours at this Minnesota-themed retreat. Enjoy food, drinks, and great company while listening to live entertainment from local musicians Matt Yetter and Sadie Maguire.
  • Friday Night Fish Fry – Savor beer-battered walleye at the Fish Fry on Friday March 14! The walleye dinner features 4 pieces of walleye, tartar sauce, and a lemon wedge, served with fries ($16.75), kettle chips ($15.00), or applesauce ($15.00). Prices are subject to applicable sales tax and availability while supplies last.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can I purchase tickets? – Tickets can be purchased online for $13 or at the door for $15. Kids 12 and under are free. Discounts for group tickets are offered online. After 5pm Thursday-Saturday, $5 tickets can be purchased from the box office.
  • Do seniors receive a ticket discount? – People 60 years of age and above receive free show entry on Thursday March 13 will valid ID.
  • Will there be military or first responder ticket discounts? – Yes, active military, veterans, police officers, firefighters, EMTS, and medical professionals are eligible for $10 tickets by showing proper ID at the box office.
  • Is there on-site parking? – Parking is available around the Minneapolis Convention Center for a fee.
  • Is there a coat check? – Coat and bag check will be available.
  • Is the show handicap accessible? – Yes. Wheelchairs and scooters can be rented onsite if needed.
  • Are pets allowed on the showgrounds? – No pets are allowed at NMMA Boat Shows, with the exception of service dogs.

Visitor Information:

  • Onsite Concessions – Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the show. On Thursday, March 13, concessions will feature a beer and hot dog special from 5 to 8 p.m.! Enjoy a Nathan’s Beef Hot Dog for $6.50 and a 16 oz Coors Light tap beer for $6.50. On Friday March 14, enjoy a walleye dinner ($15-$16.75). Prices are subject to applicable sales tax and availability while supplies last.
  • Parking – Ample parking is available around the Minneapolis Convention Center, with rates ranging from $5.00 to $15.00. The Skyway system also provides a convenient route from parking to the show.
  • Handicapped Parking – Handicapped parking is available for those with valid disability permits in nearby ramps, lots, and street parking meters. The Plaza ramp, located underground across from the Minneapolis Convention Center, offers accessible parking with convenient access to the building via elevators, accessible doors, and the skyway.
  • Public Transportation – A light rail shuttle runs from the Hiawatha Line to the Minneapolis Convention Center.
  • Accommodations – Recommended hotels are The Hilton Minneapolis (connected to the convention center) and the Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis (one block away).
