Fly Fishing at ICAST
Fly fishing has long been part of ICAST, but 2023 marked a pivotal expansion with the introduction of the Fly Fishing Village—a dedicated space focused exclusively on the needs and interests of the fly fishing community. This area highlights the latest gear, apparel, and accessories, creating a central hub for brands, retailers, and media to connect over shared passion and innovation in the sport.
Located next to the New Product Showcase and across from the casting ponds, the ICAST Fly Shop offers a curated, store-like display of fly fishing products from official exhibitors. The space also includes live fly-tying demonstrations, a comfortable lounge area, and daily fly casting sessions, offering a fully immersive experience for attendees. Nine fly-specific categories are now featured in the Showcase, underscoring the event’s growing commitment to the fly fishing sector.
Live casting demonstrations are led by professional fly fishing guides and take place both in the Fly Shop and at the FlyCASTing Pond. These sessions are scheduled during the New Product Showcase Preview Reception on Tuesday, July 15, and throughout regular show hours on Wednesday, July 16, and Thursday, July 17. The demonstrations offer hands-on learning and expert tips, making this a standout feature for fly fishing enthusiasts attending ICAST.
