The 2025 Bahamas Charter Yacht Show (BCYS) will be held in Nassau, Bahamas at four leading marinas located in Nassau and Paradise Island. The third annual show will run from January 29 through February 2, 2025. This event will be presented by the Association of Bahamas Marinas in partnership with the International Yacht Brokers Association and The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism & Aviation and supported by BCYS’s Title Sponsor, Safe Harbour Marinas.
A Brief History of BCYS
In the last ten years, the charter yacht industry has emerged as a key economic contributor to the Bahamas. Yachting generates millions of dollars in registration fees and boosts the local economy through expenditures on services such as yacht maintenance, crew wages, and cleaning. Hundreds of Bahamians are employed in a range of roles that support the industry, including vessel upkeep and providing specialized services for yachts. A major draw to the Bahamas is the tropical weather, which allows charter yachts to run year-round.
The inaugural Bahamas Charter Yacht Show took place in January 2023. The show served as a significant milestone for the Bahama’s building reputation as a leading yachting destination. With more than 40 charter yachts on display, the event was a resounding success.
The second BCYS in 2024 saw impressive growth, expanding to 80+ charter yachts (more than doubling the number of participants in 2023) and attracting over 130 brokers. Held at four renowned marinas in Nassau and Paradise Island, the event served as a prime networking opportunity for yacht brokers, charter managers, and yacht owners. It also highlighted the marinas, resorts, and local businesses that cater to the yachting industry, showcasing the wide range of services and attractions available throughout The Bahamas.
The third annual show, set for January 2025, promises to build on the success of its predecessors by showcasing even more of the Bahamas’ natural beauty and its wide array of destination options for yachting enthusiasts. With its growing popularity, the BCYS is positioned to benefit both the Bahamas’ economy and the international yachting community.
