If you are looking for an extremely versatile yacht that can accommodate multiple use options, this 85’ Hargrave is your next yacht!  Owned by an extremely competent owner/operator and maintained by both himself and his captain, “Roxy Maria” has been cared for with an open checkbook over the past two years, more than most yachts see in their lifetime!  With an open, one level floor plan, the aft deck, salon, and galley flow together seamlessly making the main level feel like that of a yacht much larger than 85’!  Half of the air conditioned flybridge is enclosed with EZ2CY, creating two separate indoor/outdoor living spaces, but on those cool weather cruising days, the whole flybridge can be opened for ultimate use potential. There are many yachts available, but few like this Hargrave which is turn key, leaving the next owner focused on nothing except picking their next destination to explore!
The following list of upgrades has recently been completed:
  • New Exhaust Risers (only 20 hours since redone)
  • Oversized Hydraulic Swim Platform w tender bracket, which allows more outdoor flybridge space and a swim/dive/beach lounge area ideal for Bahamas cruising
  • Full retrofit of all Halogen bulbs to LED lighting, with exterior color options
  • All new Garmin units in flybridge and helm area integrated with AIS, 4 Cameras, and Autopilot
  • New exterior cushions (Bridge, Cockpit, Foredeck)
  • New top of the line, oversized, LED TVs throughout the yacht
  • All services current and only maintained by certified CAT mechanics
  • New flybridge helm cushions
  • Dive compressor installed in engine room for continual tank fills
  • Anchor bridle
  • Custom bridge helm canopy

There are multiple different options available on the market, but few with the ambiance and layout of this yacht, which allows for extended periods of time on the water. Each of the decks of the yacht, provide a different feel:

Outdoor living space with lounge chairs on the aft combined with an air conditioned sunroom on the flybridge. Everything you need is at your fingertips: wet bar, gas and electric grill options and dimmable LED lighting for nights spent on the hook outdoors!

Main Level:
10 people can comfortably relax on the aft deck around the teak table for dinner or meetings but, with the salon doors opened, you feel like you are on a much larger yacht.  Although the galley can be closed off for privacy, it is one of the highlights of the yacht.  Designed with the intent to entertain in the galley, there is plenty of countertop prep space, while the captains chairs reverse into more seating at the dinette to accommodate family style dining.

The engine room is kept clean and everything is labeled w/ dates and hours of service.  Even at 6’2, I was able to move around both engines.  Each engine and bilge was free from any oil/fuel leaks or stagnant water.  Everything is very accessible and clean.

Roxy Maria cruises comfortably between 15-18 knots and burns a conservative 60 gph combined.  Comfortable in anything under 6’ seas, the yacht rides extremely dry and makes an easy cruise to the Bahamas or BVI’s.  With the addition of the Naiad stabilizer system, even rough seas are easy to handle.  Capable of being handled by an experienced owner/operator or crew, the forethought in the design is key:  dual aft docking stations, twin wing helm doors, bow and stern thrusters, etc.

Master Stateroom & Head

Lower deck:
The aft, full beam, master stateroom (quietest spot in the yacht) leaves nothing to be desired: walk in closet designed for two, dual sinks, and an oversized shower.  The layout makes you forget you are on yacht instead of in a condo, until you look out one of the six windows with fantastic views of the water!

Mirrored headboard
Cherry Nightstands
Full walk-in closet
Secondary closet
32” Samsung LED Television
Ensuite head, marble countertop, oversized shower, and Headhunter toilet

VIP Stateroom & Head

Surprisingly, the VIP forward stateroom is almost a duplicate of the master in feel.  Most yachts sacrifice square footage in the forward stateroom, but Hargrave designed this forward cabin incredibly well.

Crew Quarters

The engine room and crew quarters are accessed through the aft swim platform of the yacht.  Entering through the bulkhead, the crew has a stateroom to the starboard and head/shower across the walkway on the port side, allowing for a nice living space apart from the rest of the yacht.

Salesman's Comments

When I met the owner to take the listing on the yacht, he walked me through the routine he does with his captain twice weekly to keep the yacht in turn-key condition.  All fluids are checked, engines and generator set started and brought to temp, both bow/stern thruster moved, stabilizer fins moved, electronics checked, etc. He then flushes all the heads while doing a full walk-through of the yacht, checking for anything that needs to be addressed.  The attention to detail keeping the yacht in top condition is incredibly valuable.  Roxy Maria is not a dock ornament.  It is a constantly used and pristinely maintained yacht that will continue to be excellent for the next owners for years to come!
