Windy City Yacht Brokerage, LLC, is owned and operated by Jeff Pierce. The company was started in 2003, in Chicago, IL.

We work only within Power Boats in the Chicago area.

Windy City Yachts is NOT a high volume broker. We keep our listings manageable so we can give attention to all the details of the listing information and the closing process.

For example, when a new listing is obtained, over 100 photos are taken with a Cannon Digital Rebel SLR with a wide angle lens needed for smaller spaces. If required, a remote flash will be used to light the other end of the space. Then each photo is brought into Picture Manager and modified to make it look its best. Of the 100 or so photos taken, it is then narrowed down to 50-70 to best show the boat.

Windy City Yachts uses standard Yacht Broker Association of America (YBAA) contracts, used by hundreds of other brokers. These contracts are updated every other year by two maritime attorneys so you know everything is being conducted with the most current maritime laws.

After closing on a sale, a binder is created with EVERY document that was signed during the closing process including the Survey, the US Coast Guard Abstract of Title(for documented boats) and the Running Packet.
