Permare Srl

Founded in 1973, in Sanremo, Italy, by Fernando Amerio, Permare started by providing marine services to growing number of customers in the Italian and French Riviera. In the early 90s, the Shipyard Permare, after being also retailer and manufacturer for other Italian shipyard, begins the construction of yachts under its own brand "Amer Yachts", that over the years will become a synonymous of quality. Today Permare builds, in Viareggio and Pisa, "Amer Yachts" composite models up to 120 feet and steel "Amer Steel" models up to 70 meters and also offers refit and aftersales services in San Remo and Imperia. Permare annually supports training through collaborations with Universities (Bocconi, Istituto Marangoni, IED - European Institute of Design and IAAD - Italian University of Design) to encourage development and research and promote innovation in Design and above all to raise awareness of future designer towards a union between design and respect for the environment. Research Center of Permare has important collaborations with Enea, Cetena, Rina, Volvo Penta, GS4C and other strategic partners. The RINA institute (the Italian classification society) has also certificated the authorization to use basalt fibers for structural building which, in combination with bio-resins, will offer a bio-recyclable alternative to traditional composites.
